VWCulture visits Nurburgring...
Sunday July 19th VWCulture visited the Nurburgring, The weather conditions were perfect for some laps around the Nordschleife. Sunny weather and a nice temperature of 27 degrees. After leaving at 06:00 AM in the morning we had a 3 hour drive before we arrived at the holy place. Because of the Golf having some break light issues, something you definitely need at a race track, I took the daily Volvo. The first time with the daily, turnout to perform pretty well for a 1500kg family saloon! In total we did 6 laps on the Nordschleife throughout the day, after a quick chat with one off the marshals in the ‘Ringwerks’ centre I made it onto the GP paddock, turned out there was Official Caterham Racingday, witch was really fun! If you never bin there and you are a real race/car enthusiast, try it some day! You will not regret it for sure. But before you go there, check out the pictures in the gallery for a small impression! Also checkout the Nurburgring official website for opening times and special events.
